FAQ, is probably one of the most known acronyms on the Web, it stands for Frequently Asked Questions and it is used to provide more detailed information which is, sometimes, not at hand.
With the assistance of our reservations department, we’ve gathered the most frequent doubts and common questions. These are our FAQ:
How are your rooms?
Our rooms are decorated in a classical style, fully soundproofed and feature bathrooms decorated in marble. They are equipped with a work desk for the comfort and convenience of business travelers, a safe, minibar, GuestU Phone, Espresso Machine and offer free Wi-fi access.
The hotel has 6 floors and 82 rooms and Suites, with panoramic views over Lisbon or, for added tranquility, to the courtyard. There are also rooms that can accommodate up to three people, which makes them the perfect solution for families with children. Optionally, connecting rooms are available. All rooms are non-smoking rooms.
Do the rooms offer any views?
Due to its unbeatable location the Avenida Palace features views to the Restauradores Square, to the Rossio Square and to the São Jorge Castle. Although being in the center of the city and so, with more probabilities of noise reaching the room, that is not an issue since all rooms have doubled glazed windows. We also have rooms facing an inside courtyard allowing you an even quieter stay.
Can I bring my children?
Extra beds and Cots are available for children up to 12 years old when sharing the room with 2 adults, at no extra costs. The Hotel does not provide baby-sitting services.

All rooms are equipped with an LCD, featuring 60 channels from several countries. The TV does not support any Pay per View Channels or Streaming Networks.
Is it possible to order or offer special amenities to be placed in the Guest’s room?
If you decide to surprise your partner or someone who stay with us, there are several amenities that can be ordered in advance. Champagne, a Flowers Bouquet, a Bottle of Wine or a Box of Chocolates. Just contact our Reservations Department to check on availability and prices and they’ll make it happen.
How far from the Airport are you located?
Although we are right in the center of Lisbon, we are at approximately 8 km from the Airport. It will take you about 20 min to get to the hotel, by taxi.
Does the hotel have a Shuttle Bus Service from the Airport?
Unfortunately, the hotel does not have a Shuttle Service but, if required, our Concierge can organize pick-ups at the Airport, with private drivers.
Which is the best way to reach the hotel?
There are many options to get to the hotel. In our opinion by taxi is the best way, the ride will take around 20 min, you just need to be aware of the charges, it should be no more than 20€. Another alternative is the Aerobus, a shuttle service that stops near the hotel and takes approximately 30 min. A more recent option is the metro, is almost direct (only need to change cars once) and the Metro station Restauradores is right beside the hotel. Finally, if you prefer a more personalized service you can schedule a pick-up with a private driver, with our Concierge.
Are there any parking options?
Yes. The Hotel offers free parking, with valet service.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the Hotel, free of charge. There is also a Business Center with internet access equipped with a computer and a printer.
Are there any “meeting facilities”?
If you are planning a small meeting during your stay at the Avenida Palace, we have some unique spaces perfect for creating exclusive gatherings with personalized service.
Is there a SPA or a pool at the hotel?
The hotel doesn’t have a SPA or a pool. A Massage service is available on request, when reserved in advanced with our Concierge. There is also a Gymnasium located on our 5th floor, equipped with cardio fitness machines. No weight lifting equipment is available.
Does the hotel offer Music Events?
The Hotel Avenida Palace offers its Guests a monthly musical program featuring piano recitals of classical music, jazz and popular music. The program is available at https://www.hotelavenidapalace.pt/music-at-the-palace
Does the hotel have a Restaurant?
Unfortunately, the Avenida Palace does not have a restaurant service, however in our Bar, you may find, at your disposal, a variety of Light Snacks that can fulfill your needs, in some occasions. As an alternative, you can choose from our Room Service Menu, which is available 24hours.
Special menus can also be provided for groups with a minimum of 10 people, upon availability and prior reservation.
Is breakfast included in the rate?
Yes. At the Avenida Palace buffet breakfast is always included in the prices. Service is held on the 2nd floor from 07 to 11.30 am. You can enjoy a full American buffet breakfast in a beautiful room looking into the Avenida da Liberdade. Breakfast in the bedroom is also available, however, a surcharge will be applied.
Are there Gluten and Dairy Free options for breakfast?
Gluten and Dairy Free options are available upon request. Preferably mention these preferences when booking your stay.
What time is Check-in/Check-out?
Check-in starts at 14h and Check-out is until 12h.
Early check and/or late check-out will always be subject to availability.
Can I store my bags at the Hotel?
Yes. Luggage storage is available at the Concierge desk.
Does the Hotel allow any pets?
No. Pets are not allowed at the Avenida Palace.
