Great hotel, worth the expense
My wife and college-aged step-daughter spent 7 nights at the Avenida Palace over New Years. Our experience was outstanding. The room (a Junior Suite) was small but nice, the staff were exceptionally helpful, and the breakfast was outstanding. Most important was the location--centrally located, in the middle of the city's shopping and restaurant area, and easy to get to virtually anywhere we wanted to go by foot, subway, tram, taxi, or train. We'd stay there again without a second thought.

Um dos melhores hotéis que já me hospedei. O primeiro de tudo é a localização excepcional, se faz tudo a pé ou por um preço ridículo de Uber ou táxi. Ao lado de uma estação do metrô e outra de trem. Resumindo, não tenha dúvidas quando vier a Lisboa, mesmo que o preço seja um pouco maior, mas as comodidades são inúmeras.

Best Hotel in Lisbon
We absolutely love this hotel!!! Most of all, the staff are wonderful from the doorman, to the concierge, front desk, bar, etc. - very accommodating, helpful, courteous, highly professional. When our expensive camera was left at the tour bus, the concierge called the bus company (Grayline) right away and was checking every day if it was found. Paulo, at the concierge took the time to speak to one of the managers to make sure they investigate but looks like this bus company is not very proactive - Grayline staff was awfully uncooperative and were giving conflicting stories which leads us to believe that perhaps one of their people may have taken our camera. Except for this unfortunate incident, everything else was superb including the daily sumptuous breakfast/brunch!!
